What is Fissure Sealant?

Fissure sealant, one of the basic applications of pediatric dentistry, is a preventive dental treatment in which the recesses and grooves of the chewing surfaces of the molars are covered with a liquid filling material. It is applied to protect milk molars and prevent caries in children aged 4-6 years. The fissure sealant, which fills the gaps and gaps in the molars, prevents decay by providing sealing. Fissure sealant treatment, also known as dental vaccination, should be applied at a young age to protect dental tissues.
